Sustainable solutions
Two pillars.
One system.
VSN Green Energy's platform integrates agricultural feedstock utilisation, Compressed Biogas production and organic digestate return into a single circular model — sustainable energy and farming soil restoration from the same molecule.
Pillar 01
Compressed Biogas.
High-purity biomethane, engineered for industry and transport.
The VSN CBG platform converts agricultural resources into high-purity biomethane — over 96% methane — which is then compressed and cascaded for end use. As a fuel, CBG is a direct substitute for fossil natural gas: it powers industrial energy consumers and automotive fleets alike, molecule for molecule.
Every plant is fed by residue streams that would otherwise decay into atmospheric methane — paddy straw left after harvest, pressmud from sugar milling, and animal manure from livestock holdings. The feedstock is a liability on the farm; the CBG is an asset for the economy.
- Feedstock procurement networks with farmers and agricultural cooperatives
- Digestion and upgrading engineered to site and substrate
- Compression and cascade filling for transport and dispatch
- Industrial and automotive offtake through long-term relationships

The policy backwind
India is paying for this molecule.
Three national instruments turn CBG from an environmental good into a contracted, bankable revenue stream.
15-year OMC offtake
Oil marketing companies purchase CBG under long-term agreements, anchored by a ₹46/kg floor price (valid to 2029) and 8,400+ CNG stations the fuel plugs straight into.
Blending obligation
Phased CBG blending in CNG is mandatory — 1% in FY 2025-26 (already achieved at 1.05%), rising to 3% next year and 5% by 2028-29. Demand is legislated, not hoped for.
National bioenergy scheme
The Union Cabinet's circular bioenergy programme targets a ~10× CBG production boost, with capital assistance up to ₹2 crore per tonne-per-day of installed capacity.

Pillar 02
The Agri Circular Economy.
The same molecule makes two rounds: first as energy, then as fertility. That second round is what makes the platform sustainable — and what makes the economics durable.
Agri circular economy
Resources
Agricultural waste and Napier grass are procured through turn-key networks with farmers and cooperatives.
CBG
Digestion and upgrading convert the residue into high-purity compressed biomethane.
Digestate
The digested remainder is organic, nutrient-rich and ready for the field.
Fertilizer
Digestate return programmes substitute synthetic fertilizer on partner farmland.
Soil
Restored soil grows the next season's crop — and the next cycle begins.
The wider platform
Beyond biogas.
The CBG platform is the core; VSN's clean-energy portfolio extends across solar, wind, storage, and the turn-key engineering that binds them.
Solar power systems
High-efficiency utility-scale photovoltaic installations engineered for yield, durability, and seamless grid integration.
Wind power integration
Modern wind turbine infrastructure harnessing regional atmospheric currents for reliable commercial green power.
Renewable energy storage
Intelligent BESS and power-conditioning infrastructure stabilizing utility grids and backing up clean generation.
Green infrastructure
Sustainable civil engineering, turn-key CBG plant construction, and environmental compliance for large-scale developments.

The foundation
A sustainable resource base.
A CBG platform is only as strong as its feedstock. VSN's strategy builds a long-term foundation on two legs: dedicated Napier grass cultivation on secured land, and procurement networks that aggregate agricultural waste from the farms around every plant.
The land position — 200 acres of plant land and 10,000 acres of Napier grass feedstock land — anchors the first phase of the programme, while state-wise feedstock mapping extends the base as the portfolio expands from Telangana towards the hundred-plant national platform.
- Dedicated cultivation — Napier grass on secured acreage
- Residue aggregation — paddy straw and pressmud networks
- Manure partnerships with livestock holders
- State-wise mapping ahead of each expansion wave
Built on relationships
Four partners, one platform.
VSN's long-term value rests on the relationships that surround every plant.
Farmers
Residue and manure suppliers — and the digestate's end users. The circular model pays both ways.
Agricultural cooperatives
Aggregation partners that make feedstock logistics turn-key at village scale.
Industrial energy consumers
Long-term CBG offtakers displacing fossil natural gas in their processes.
Financial institutions
Capital partners backing a scalable, geographically diversified national platform.
